We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve won the highly coveted 2018 Queen’s Awards for International Trade. The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise are awarded to businesses who excel in one of four categories: International Trade, Innovation, Sustainable Development and Promoting Opportunity. The International Trade Award recognises the outstanding success we have had since our mission to expand globally began.
This award recognises our global success – in just seven years we’ve expanded into over 35 countries and counting. We export over 80% of our business globally and we’re gaining an increasingly enviable reputation in our field for our innovative approach to metal cutting – designing quality-built systems at affordable prices.
It’s no easy feat exporting into so many countries in such a relatively short space of time, but not only did we manage to do it, we excelled at it. To have this recognised and rewarded by the UK’s most esteemed business awards is a huge achievement – Swift-Cut has made remarkable progress internationally, representing UK manufacturing on a global scale and demonstrating the very best of British design and workmanship.
Swift Cut’s International Global Development Director, Neil Smith is understandably delighted at the recognition. He said, “We are thrilled that our international growth and success has been recognised by the Queen’s Award, arguably the most prestigious business award in the UK and a testament to our product, our team and our vision.”
Dr Liam Fox, Secretary of State for International Trade recently opened our new factory and said, “Success stories like Swift-Cut Automation are flying the flag for British quality and expertise, bringing a boost to their local economies.”
Much like our cutting systems, Swift-Cut is the sum of many parts and we couldn’t be prouder at the efforts of our entire team to make Swift-Cut the award-winning success it is.
