Swift-Cut proves access limitations are no barrier to expertise

ROKO GmbH, Swabia’s largest non-profit, inclusive companies, has successfully commissioned a new Swift-Jet Pro waterjet machine at its facility in Bavaria, Germany – having to overcome significant site access challenges along the way.

The project was facilitated by Swift-Cut’s German distributor, ESAB ARCOS GmbH, with installation and commissioning delivered by Swift-Cut engineers Niklas Kramer and Charlie Swift.

A flexible solution for a multi-material manufacturer

ROKO GmbH is a non-profit service provider that supports people with mental illnesses in leading independent, self-determined lives.

Because they manufacture a wide range of products using multiple materials, ROKO needed a cutting solution that could offer genuine flexibility. The 3-metre Swift-Jet Pro was the right solution, promising high-precision cutting across a wide variety of materials without the need to invest in multiple processing technologies.

Following a demonstration at Swift-Cut’s German headquarters in Karben in October 2025, ROKO placed its order in November, with delivery, installation and commissioning completed in January 2026.

Installing the impossible?

While on paper, the installation was straightforward, it soon became clear it was anything but.

Manoeuvring a full 3-metre waterjet table into such a restricted area initially appeared to be near impossible. It required careful planning and a complete deconstruction of the table to allow it to be safely moved into the building, including positioning the table on its side to navigate tight access points.

Ultimately what might have been a major obstacle became a fantastic demonstration of engineering expertise and skill.

Thanks to the experience of the Swift-Cut technical team, the machine was successfully installed, reassembled and commissioned within less than a week. Full operator training was also delivered within that timeframe, ensuring ROKO could begin production without delay.

Expertise that ensures success

Projects like this not only highlight machine capability – they also emphasise the importance of technical knowledge, adaptability and on-site problem-solving.

For customers like ROKO, operating in complex environments, it’s reassurance that installation restrictions don’t have to threaten investment in high-performance cutting technology.

Swift-Cut would also like to extend sincere thanks to the entire team at ROKO GmbH for their professionalism, collaboration and support throughout the installation.
