Swift-Cut ESAB Spark Awards – Competition Rules

All you need to know to participate in our photo competitions.

How to Enter

  • Take or create an original photo(s) (preferably in the highest resolution your phone/camera offers) showcasing your first or best cut made with your Swift-Cut CNC cutting machine.
  • Submit your entry by either:
    • Posting it on Facebook, Instagram, or LinkedIn, tagging @swiftcutautomation and using the hashtag #MySwiftCut.
    • Emailing it to dan.page@swift-cut.com.
  • Entry is free of charge. Submission of an entry constitutes acceptance of the Competition Rules and Terms and Conditions.

 

General Rules

  • The competition is open to all Swift-Cut CNC machine owners.
  • Submitted photos must clearly display both the cut part(s) and the Swift-Cut machine (these may be shown in separate photos).
  • Participants must be 18 years or older.
  • Entrants must have full copyrights to their submitted material. By entering, you confirm that you own the rights to the submitted images.
  • There is no limit to the number of photos an entrant can submit.
  • Entries must not contain:
    • Endorsements of non-Swift-Cut/ESAB products or services.
    • Obscene, violent, racist, or defamatory content.
    • Identifiable individuals who have not given their consent to appear.
    • Advertising or trademarks requiring additional permissions.
  • The organizers reserve the right to disqualify any entry that violates these rules or brings the competition into disrepute.

 

Technical Requirements

  • Each submission must include at least one photograph.
  • Photos must be in electronic format (.jpeg, .png, .tiff) with a minimum resolution of 1080 pixels on the long side (ideally 2000+ pixels).

 

Judging Criteria

Entries will be judged based on:

  • Part Complexity – Uniqueness and intricacy of the cut.
  • Shot Composition – Quality and creativity of the photograph.
  • Technical Ability – Precision and craftsmanship in the cut.
  • Engagement – Interaction on social media (if posted and tagged correctly).

 

Winner Notification & Prize

  • Each month, the best photo will win a £50 consumables voucher.
  • The voucher will be credited to the winner’s Swift-Cut account and can be used towards:
    • Plasma and waterjet consumables.
    • Servicing and service kits.
    • Support renewals.
  • The winner will be notified via email, phone call, or direct message on the platform where the submission was made.
  • The official winner announcement will follow within a reasonable timeframe.
  • The voucher is non-transferable and has no cash equivalent.

 

Copyright & Usage Rights

  • Copyright for all submitted materials remains with the entrants.
  • By entering, participants grant Swift-Cut Automation and its partners a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, and distribute submitted photos for marketing, promotional, and educational purposes, while crediting the copyright owner.

 

Confidentiality & Data Protection

  • Personal data collected for this competition will be used solely for administering the competition and will not be shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
  • Swift-Cut Automation will process data in compliance with applicable privacy laws and regulations.
