Swift-Cut Pro Hyspeed Enables Hyperthem Powermax sync

HySpeed® Enabled technology for mechanized cutting with Powermax SYNC®

Hypertherm have launched an update to their Powermax systems which enables up to 2x faster cutting speeds compared to standard ‘best quality’ cutting charts. As a Hypertherm Elite partner, Swift-Cut has maximised the benefit of this new technology and we are delighted to say all of our machines are now HySpeed Enabled when connected to a Hypertherm 65, 85, or 105 SYNC plasma power source.

HySpeed Enabled benefits include:

  • Up to 2x faster cutting compared to standard cut charts.
  • Optimizing cut paths and avoiding collisions between the torch and workpiece.
  • Reducing cut-to-cut time.

The update unlocks faster max cut speeds, reduces cut-to-cut time by performing torch bleed-down while traversing to the next piece (instead of upon arrival), and delays gas post flow stage when applicable.

When used in combination with increased distance between initial height sensing, the cut time can be improved further. For example, if multiple parts are close together it’s sometimes unnecessary to use initial height sense at every pierce.

The combination of these factors can add up to some impressive time savings on a full 3m x 1.5m nested sheet. In the example nest on the right, cutting all the parts out of a 2mm sheet of mild steel, the HySpeed Enabled system completed the job 1 hour faster than when using standard cut settings!
