DTS Fabrications

A small but nevertheless, thriving business, DTS Fabrications mainly make steel gates and fencing.  The decision to purchase a plasma cutting table was not taken lightly and in fact, DTS founder Dave Stanley said it was a business development ten years in the planning.

With extensive internet research that saw Dave initially looking at American made tables, it was the comment on a forum suggesting UK made Swift-Cut that led to him heading to Burton on Trent to see the tables in action.  Impressed by the look of the table, as well as the software and the assurance that the tables are easy to learn and use, the search for a plasma cutting table ended with the purchase of their Swift-Cut 1250 Water Table.

Dave describes the installation four months ago as ‘painless’, despite he says, feeling slightly daunted about the journey ahead.  Luckily, he said the assurances from Swift-Cut of an easy to learn and operate software package were indeed spot on, and he describes the learning process as almost ‘intuitive’, meaning they spend a lot of time experimenting and finding new ways to make the table work for them.

In the next twelve months, DTS would like to add the Swift-Trace engraving tool, an ‘after-thought’ that they are thrilled can be retro fitted, just one of the many reasons they chose Swift-Cut.  Due to the scope the Swift-Cut table has opened them up to, Dave has decided to diversify his business and get more into metal art work, a path he would not have been able to follow without their Swift-Cut plasma cutting table.
